We hit 500 fans on Facebook! I can’t thank you guys enough for spreading the word about my blog. I know some of you have told your friends and others have been so kind and put my button on your blog! I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for guys and your kindness to tell your friends about this blog. I wish I had more to give but I did create a free download for you guys :O)

Head over to my Facebook page and download this 4 x 6 card to help you run through a checklist before you take a photo. I know there are a lot of things to think about but that is what a photographer needs to do. Remember you want to nail it in camera and not make extra work for yourself in post processing!! Hope you enjoy this treat! It’s only available for 48 hours so be sure to spread the word and get it while you can!!!

What a great idea! All the reminders in one spot. FYI – I think you mean “limb” chops! :)

You are very welcome!! I am glad Laura passed it on to me and I will continue passing it to everyone who wants to learn about photography.

Thanks for the download. During the first Digital Photog class I took for fun a few years ago our instructor had use follow a checklist similar to this (with additional items). We set out to take the “perfect” photo according to the sheet. Then, we critiqued each other’s photo according to the sheet. It was an excellent and challenging exercise. I think I will look the list up and set out to do the exercise again.

smaller aperture = less in focus??? For me, larger aperture (1.4) = less in focus… Because larger aperture mean “open wide” diafragma. Dont call it by number, IMHO.

Hey Rizqal, Yes you are right, a smaller aperture means more in focus but in the free download I was saying smaller # (number) means less in focus not smaller aperture. I realize it is a confusing concept so I was trying to break it down as easily as possible by talking about the number.
