Tokyo and a Giveaway!!
Lifestyle

First off, I need to thank Brittany and her husband for creating my amazing banner!! I love it so much!! Thank you!!

As you know, my family and I enjoyed our first big family vacation last week to Tokyo! It was so wonderful to get away from life and just enjoy each other and explore that amazing city. Unfortunately, it rained 3 of the 5 days we were there. That didn’t stop us though! Here are a few highlights from our trip. Make sure you read all the way to the bottom to find out about our first giveaway!!!

Shibuya has the busiest intersection in the world! After we made our way through the umbrella madness we dried off at a Starbucks where I was able to snap this photo. Can you imagine how busy it would be if it wasn’t raining?

What is a trip to Tokyo with two children if you don’t stop by Disneyland??

Thankfully, our last day was sunning and we were able to venture out of the city to Kamakura where one of the largest Budda statue sits as well as a variety of shrines.

At one of the shrines you could buy a wooden plaque to write, my guess is a prayer request.

If Kate wasn’t singing on the subway, she was waving “good-bye” and saying “I will see you next time.”

Not what I was hoping for as far as a night shot goes, but with an 18 month old who has had enough, you take what you can get :O)

On our way back we were able to see Mt. Fuji from the air. What a perfect end to our trip!

And now…the giveway!! No, it’s not a free trip to Tokyo (wouldn’t that be nice :O) he he Preparing for the trip I went a little overboard buying memory cards. This is great news for you!! We are giving away a 4GB Memory Card!! Whoo hoo!! I know you are just beside yourself with excitement :O) I can take about 400 pictures in RAW on these and the package says if you shot JPEG you should be able to fit about 770 photos!! Now who doesn’t need more memory space to capture all that is happening in our lives!!

How to enter:
1. Leave a comment about what your favorite thing to photograph is.
2. Post about the giveway on Facebook and come back to leave a comment letting us know.
3. Post about the giveaway on your blog and come back to leave a comment letting us know.

This means you have 3 chances to win :O)

A winner will be choosen randomly and will be announced on Friday.

Dang! no trip to Tokyo!! I had my bags packed. All kidding aside, how very nice of you to have a gift away.

Looks like you had a wonderful time on your trip. The photo of your girls with the princess is cute beyond words. (poor little one)

Since 1995, I have been raising/fostering puppies for The Seeing Eye. Briefly, they bring me a puppy at the age of 8 weeks. I return the puppy to them at the age of 16 months. During the time spent with me, I must teach the puppy socially expectable behaviors. I know these puppies are not mine but I can’t help to fall in love with each of them.

These special puppies have become my favorite subjects to photograph. I actually have a blog devoted to just photos of them.

Will you share the link for your blog about your puppies with us?? :O)

Ok so my fav thing to photograph is of course my kids. Depending on their moods, but my other fav thing is to be able to capture them in ‘found’ locations. I am always looking for interesting places to put them in front of, doorway arches, gates, trees, bikes, etc. I love the versatility than Japan gives us for scenery.
PS, that Fairy Godmother is terrifying. I would have been crying too. ;))
PSS, I don’t expect to win bc driving over to your house to pick up my prize may kinda take the fun out of it for you. :)

I am not to original, but I love to photograph my son. Since we all love to photograph our children I will be a little more specific and say I love to photograph his hands. You can capture so much of their growth and change by photographing their hands.

Actually I love to photograph anyone’s hands.

Since I’m just beginning to learn how to shoot with a REAL camera I haven’t decided what my favorite thing to shoot is. I need to take time to just shoot random shots as I don’t have small children around for subjects. You may be seeing more pics of dogs and quilts!

I love to photograph my kids most of all. I love how innocent they are and the many expressions they have. It is also a challenge for me as well because they move around so much so trying to figure out how to capture the moment without making it blurry. It has been so much fun.
